FAQ
Node Types / Network Overview
| Type | Description | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| IEPL Dedicated Line | A private cross-border leased line provided by carriers. It does not use the public internet and does not pass through the GFW. It is very stable and offers low latency. It no longer separates carrier-specific lines; traffic enters the nearest data center, uses internal routing, and exits in Hong Kong. | Recommended when cross-border connectivity is weak or the connection becomes slow during peak hours |
| Direct Nodes | Your device connects directly to overseas nodes. Performance depends on the international network quality in your city. | Recommended for regions with strong cross-border connectivity, such as Shanghai and Guangdong |
Node Selection Tips
If cross-border access is slow or unstable during peak hours, use IEPL
Example: User -> nearest data center -> internal routing -> Hong Kong exit -> overseasIf cross-border network quality is already good, use direct nodes
Direct nodes usually perform well in regions such as Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Fujian.

TikTok not working?
TikTok can detect Chinese carriers, so it may not work properly in mainland China. Hong Kong nodes cannot be used for TikTok.
Solutions:
- Remove the SIM card.
- Change your phone's region settings to a non-mainland China region.
Can't access ticketing websites?
Ticketing websites usually have strict IP requirements and often require a local residential IP. You can try using residential nodes in Japan or the United States when purchasing tickets.
Can't change the IP location shown in social apps?
Most social apps use strict risk-control systems to prevent abuse, fraud, and other suspicious behavior. In most cases, you need to use a residential IP for a long time to build account trust before the displayed IP location can change.
BigBear iOS is stuck on "Loading Ads"?
Some regions may not have advertisers serving ads. Membership is recommended.
App Store says the account is disabled when updating the app
When updating the app, this message usually appears because the current Apple ID is different from the Apple ID originally used to download the app.
Solution:
Uninstall the app first, then install it again.
Free nodes disconnect frequently?
- Free nodes allow up to 0.5 GB to 1 GB of traffic per connection.
- The IP addresses of free nodes are updated from time to time. If the connection drops, you can watch an ad to continue using them.
Traffic Usage Calculation Rules
Traffic is counted only after you connect to a node. Usage is usually recorded about every 2 minutes. Large downloads or long-lived connections may be merged into one aggregated usage record. Dedicated-line nodes are usually counted at about 2x, with the exact multiplier based on the node name.
You can test traffic usage calculation as follows:
- After connecting to a node, download the test file: 100MB (Hong Kong Datapacket/CDN77)
- After the download finishes, wait 2 minutes, then check the traffic record in the official dashboard.
- Direct/regular nodes should be about 100MB, and dedicated-line nodes should be about 210MB.
Connected, but no internet access?
Search Baidu for Beijing time and check whether your device time differs from Beijing time by more than 90 seconds. If the time difference is too large, sync your device time first.
Permission issue 1: On Android devices, the first connection will show a VPN permission prompt. If you deny it, the app may show as connected but have no internet access. Please uninstall and reinstall the app.
Permission issue 2: If the app worked normally for a while but later connects without internet access, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app, then restart the device.
On Windows devices, try switching to Virtual adapter mode.
Some regions have provincial firewalls, such as Xinjiang. In these regions, you can only use dedicated-line nodes, not regular nodes.
Some campus networks cannot use VPN.
iOS purchase failed?
Due to policy restrictions, Apple IDs from mainland China cannot make in-app purchases. Please use an Apple ID from another region. Users in mainland China can also purchase membership services through the official dashboard.
